An Event Worthy of Attendance
On January 11, 2012, The Minnesota Council of Nonprofits will hold this year’s Children and Youth Issues Briefing. Those who attend will receive an update on emerging issues as we proceed into the 2012 Legislative Session.
Also, the efforts of communities across Minnesota on behalf of children and youth will be highlighted. Legislative, academic and philanthropic leaders such as Commissioner of Education Brenda Cassellius, Commissioner of Human Services Lucinda Jesson, as well as many others will speak on endeavors to promote the success of children and youth throughout Minnesota.
Starting at 9am, the event is at St. Paul's Crowne Plaza Hotel, sapace is limited, so RSVP. The event is undoubtedly worth paying attention to, as the achievement of children and youth influences nearly every aspect of society. If we are informed about the policies and efforts that dictate this success, we can ensure our children and youth receive every opportunity they need to fulfill their potential.
What do you think? What key children and youth issues should be at the center of the public policy debate this legislative session?
